I have an I-152 indicator (the J-scan display for the BC-788). Many
years ago I was going to convert it to a transmitter monitor scope, so I
removed the 400 Hz power transformer for the CRT, which I've since lost.
In the space for the transformer and 2X2 & recessed socket, I built a 60
Hz supply from a Stancor photoflash transformer and a tripler. Now it
works and will display a pulse once supplied with the appropriate signal
to generate the circle. I have 400 Hz power now, but way too late. Anyway.
But I don't have a BC-788 to hook it up to. Fair used to have two in
stock but they wanted $100 plus shipping several years ago, and at least
one had been significantly cannibalized :( Anyway if I can find one for
a more reasonable price (and now postage rates would kill any savings),
it'd be neat to hook up and aim at something the right distance away :)
