Somewhere in 1973 I ordered from the G&G catalog one BC-312 and one BC-348. I don't recall if I included a check or not.
I received no reply. It was many months later, maybe most of a year, and I finally received a reply asking if I still wanted to
place this order; I declined. I learned much later that the owner of G&G had some kind of medical situation, the reason for
the long quiet; possibly the store was closed then, altho I don't know this. I think somewhere 1985 - 1987, correct me if
this date seems wrong, I did finally place an order for one BC-1209 and two ATB. I think these were among the very last
mail order sales of G&G. The equipment I ordered was new, in original packing. That makes me wonder so, what happened
to the rest of their wonderful stuff, when the store finally closed ? Someone rumored later that they had sold the BC-1209
/ SCR-583's to Mexico, but I think now that maybe should be considered BS and forgotten. I think the BC-1209 heavy
cardboard box, original packing, enclosed 3 manuals, because I sent one manual to Tony Grogan, and I suspect now I would
not have done that if I only had one manual to retain. My brother has this radio on Ebay now. I don't set the prices or
anything else. I probably should scan the manual, all 100 pages of it, so it becomes available to others and doesn't just
disappear into someone else's cache.
