According to my database, AN/TPN-2 is covered by TM 11-1157 dated
12/01/1944. I will try to find the TM 11-1157 and see what it covers.

Subject: [Army-Radios] Question on 'Eureka beacons'

>From Wiki on "Eureka beacons" :

"In December 1942 Brown was flown to the US via Pan Am Clipper to meet with
the US I Troop Carrier Command.[9] They started production of a number of
versions of the Mk. III as the AN/PPN-1 (Eureka), AN/PPN-2 (Portable Eureka)
and AN/TPN-1 (Transportable Eureka). The AN/APN-2 (Rebecca), also known as
the SCR-729, used a display that saw use for a number of purposes."

I had never known of the AN/TPN-1 set, altho in the distant past, I owned a
complete AN/PPN-1. ( Now worth real money. )

Similarly to the above, does this mean there was a "transportable PPN-2,
named the TPN-2" and that my TS-233 / TPN-2 was for maintenance of an
AN/TPN-2 Eureka beacon ? ( Pathfinder beacons for airborne troop planes. )
Tnx
