No, after a bit of research I found what the problem is.   I knew Dave 
Schmarder N2DS was the founder of both sites, and feared the worst - but 
fortunately it's just good old internet buffoonery. Here's a post by him 
on May 25:   (TRB = The Radio Board)

"There was a phishing attack on TRB this morning.
Since TRB is the main account on my hosting service, it took down all my 
websites too.
Jim, the owner of TRB has been difficult to reach. I haven't been 
involved with TRB, except for as a user and occasional admin for the 
last 4 years.
Since this happened, I decided not to renew my hosting account, which 
comes up for renewal in a month and a half.
If Jim can't fix TRB, I'll be parking the domains of my websites for 
possible use later on another host.
