[ARC5] 28 volt high-current supplies?

I knew a fellow who worked for the Highway Department locally. He’d scrounged several 28V (nominal) high amp transformers from traffic signal upgrades, about 6” on a side. They were on their way to the scrap dealer. Maybe get to know a city traffic engineer?

I use my pair in over designed basic PSUs for my BC-375. One is in a PSU that feeds the PE-73 dynamotor. The other is half of a solid state LV/HV PSU. Both stay cool after an hour on the air.
