[ARC5] AM BCB Frequencies

I kinda wonder how long the good old Ancient Modulation band will endure in North America. 
Unlike Europe, where most AM stations were state operations, here they are all private businesses,
and they won't be happy to just go dark. We have some long open distances too. I understand 
CBC has moved a lot or all of small - town MW BC stations to FM ( Fine Music ) band, is that right?
