Jack-
The ARC-27/55, ARC-52, ARC-51 (all Collins), and ARC-33 (Bendix) will all tune (channelize) into the 220 amateur band.
I haven't tried any of the newer radios, I suspect anything with a PLL won't without some mods.
I am going to try the ARC-109 and ARC-34 at some point.

Subject: [ARC5] AN/ARC-52 manual FTGH
Just received a 3" thick set of manuals for the AN/ARC-52. NAVWEPS and NAVAER
16-30ARC52-501, -502, -503, and -504. Looks complete and in good shape for its age.
Anyone want them? Will even pickup Media Mail postage.
I don't think I'll ever be firing one of these up, I already have an AN/ARC-55, so don't
need another large UHF radio. (Currenty working on an AN/PRC-14 FAC radio for the
ARC-55 to talk to).
I do have a curiosity question for someone familiar with the ARC-52.
Both the ARC-27 and ARC-55 will tune below 225, in fact the manual says
to use 224.8 as one of alignment frequencies. Does this hold true of the
ARC-52? Is it capable of operation below 225.0?
Thanks.
Jack Antonio
