[ARC5] High current 28VDC power supply?

I am thinking of the correct charging voltage for a 12.6 V battery. My reading, and what I have used for years, is 14.4 V...for charging. As I remember it, "float" voltage is 13.6:V.Double those for 2 series-connected batteries: thus 28.8 for charging, 27.2 for float.I got the above data from a battery-manfacturer's website in their support section.I also remember reading some time ago that for most efficient operation of dynamotors, 32 V is "good" but have never tried that myself...yet.Ken W7EKBSent via the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone

Isn't military power spec 24-32 VDC (compatible with "24 volt" vehicle systems)? So why would you need exactly 28.8 VDC?______________________________________________________________ARC5 mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/arc5Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:ARC5 at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: https://www.qsl.net/donate.html
