I am a 79 year old 100% Disabled Veteran who is retired from the U.S. Army
and is now legally blind and would like to know if there is any Amateur
Radio Operators near Chester, Texas that is technically proficient to repair
radios that would be willing to drive to my house one day and repair my WWII
BC-669 AM Transceiver. Or someone that has worked on a BC-669 before. It
just quit transmitting one day, but the receiver works fine. Could just be a
tube or a bad capacitor, etc. I don't see well enough to work on it any more
and my son thinks tubes should be in a museum.

I have the manual and some test equipment.

Houston is approximately 130 miles away.

Lufkin is approximately 45 miles away.

Jasper is approximately 55 Miles away.

Livingston is approximately35 miles away.

Beaumont is approximately 80 miles away.

Washington D.C. is not far enough away.

I will feed you and pay for your gas. I will pay for the parts that I don't
have. It will be very appreciated.

Floyd, KF5YDH
