[ARC5] Simpson 260 test leads

Simpson 260 test leads are still being made by or for Simpson and can be purchased online from quite a few dealers and eBay.
There were a variety of type of connectors used over the many years the 260 was in production.  It depends on what "series" or version you have as to what test lead connector is in use.

For example, here is the 00125 set for the older meters that have male banana plugs on the cables and females on the meter:

 I recommend "hands-off" testing when measuring high voltages with any meter.   The Simpson leads come with nice alligator adapters that fit onto the probe tips so you can make your connections with the device under test powered off.  Then leave the meter sitting on a surface (don't hold it in your hand) and don't touch the test setup when you power up the equipment to see the reading.
