[ARC5] Signal generator selection

Just a suggestion, and this may be more money than you want to spend.
Understandable. I have a Rigol
spectrum analyzer, the DSA815-TG. I love it. Replaces a bunch of
boatanchor HP stuff and I can hold it in
my hands without any strain. In fact I often have it on my lap when there's
no more room on my desktop. I also have the VSWR bridge. The 815-TG
replaces my old(and I do mean old) Tek 491, 8350 sweep generator, a couple
signal generators, 8756 network analyzer, and directional bridge. Maybe a
couple more items I haven't thought of. The 815 shows up occasionally here
or there for something like $600 and up to a grand. I sweep antennas,
filters, check for signals down to less than -100db, etc. I struggled with
used test equipment for years until Rigol showed up at Dayton a number of
years ago with a hamfest special that was hard to refuse.
