As for the 23.5 kHz hacked up ones, I am probably off on the exact frequency, but that 
frequency is correct, as far as I can remember it  They were done this way to listen to one of 
the U.S. Navy VLF stations. I can go take a close look to provide the exact frequency.

OK. I just checked my documentation: the frequency was 22.3 kHz, not 23.5 kHz.
