I had a tough time getting to sleep last night, and I don't know why. Maybe somehow it was
so I would hear these two recent fascinating BBC radio programs. The rescue from the Peru'
submarine Pacocha in 1988 I have already mentioned.

Later the same early A.M. I also heard, as I turns out, the last of 10 episode of "Spitfire: The
People's Plane". You can access and choose an episode here:
BBC World Service - Spitfire: The People's Plane - Downloads<https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w13xtv79/episodes/downloads>
( I found that if occurs a possible refusal of Chrome to play the audio, MS Edge will work. )
The episodes are about 18 minutes long. The episode I heard this morning dealt with the biggest,
crucial air battle of September 15, 1940. Over a year before the U.S.A. was fully involved in the war.
I found this program very informative and interesting ! The pilot this episode follows survived the
Battle of Britain but was later lost in action over Nederlands. His WAC girlfriend, an air traffic plotter,
never married.
