As I have heard before:  “The Tubes alone are worth more than that!”  (Actually a lot more!)
Likely the tube line-up was closed in part to simplify spares stocking and maintenance.

Oscillator 6AG7
Speed amp 6V6
Voltage regulators two 0D3
All the rest. Seven 807’s

Power supply:
Five 5T4
Two 0D3
