I was given a complete and NIB DAG-1 by AFMARS many years ago. I really liked it and wish
I still had it. Mine had very obviously never been used, It still had all the spare parts and two
manuals with it. I had all the batteries for it, and used it for a number of years. The DF
function worked very well. Mine even included the compass which one mounted in the
shielded loop. It had the sense antenna too. The receiver was quite sensistive and quiet,
although it wasn't particulary stable when in the CW mode, but as I remember it, most
battery-powered receivers of the period which used those "battery" tubes exhibited that same
instability. I assumed at the time that the cause was the tubes being microphonic.

I don't know where it went in all the moving around I had to do at that time.

I think I saw ONE for sale in eBay a year or two ago for some astronomical price.

I didn't bid on it.
