My friend Greg tells me this: he works at a Seattle pre-owned computers and electronics store, "Re - PC".
Oftentimes someone just drops off general electronics there for recycling. Well, someone dropped off 2
'Wulfsberg RT-5000' transceivers. One of them was marked with an N aircraft registration and Greg looked
it up. Turned out it had been in an EMS chopper, an Italian make, 'Augusta A109', and the last flight was to
Seattle. Who knows why it would have been junked out at that time. Greg said the N number was reused
and is now assigned to some drone. The 2 Wulfsbergs are not complete, I think one is more complete but
no cables were dropped off. I think a complete Wulfsberg goes for like $16k. Just from curiosity I asked
Greg what Re-PC was asking for them, and he said, oh those are going on Ebay. Interesting the variety of
odds & ends that end up donated or dropped off to Re-PC; you never know what's going to turn up, I
mean electronics parts and equipment of every variety.
