[ARC5] HB transmitter from surplus parts

I have an interesting homebrew transmitter. I sold an AM 813 modulated by 811A's with a ARC-5 TX cut down for a VFO. But this one I could not resist at Dayton maybe 5 or 6 years ago. It is a 813 CW TX made with mostly parts from an ART-13 in the final but it has a Johnson Navigator with front panel, case and band switch knob removed as the driver the right-angle coupler on band switch shaft is also missing. What I don't understand is why it needed to be single band. It has a roller inductor in the PI network output and the builder took the 50 ohm output from the Navigator and had an additional link coupled plug in coil to the input of the 813. Perhaps it was to allow neutralization of the 813. It is well built and I just haven't the heart to sell it due to the Navigator parts.

CAUTION: External Sender
That sounds like one I sold in Cincinnati years ago. It had a 813 final and 811s in plate modulator. Had a cut down arc-5 tx for VFO and other parts mostly from a ART-13.

CAUTION: External Sender
I was rooting thru my storage tonite for stuff to sell down and I found a HB 80 meter transmitter I'd
quite forgotten. The VFO inside is a "shorty Command Set VFO" and the circuit uses heavily surplus
parts. The only down point is the front panel markings are in pencil, of all things, but that can be
corrected with a label printer. Also the frequency dial is the dial from a 4 - 5.3 Command transmitter
with pencil marks for the AM portion of 80. So if anyone has just the frequency dial of a 3 - 4 MHz
Command transmitter I will be happy to obtain one. I of course can trim the transmitter to line up
close enough with the 3 - 4 dial. I will eventually post some photos here. The final is an 815 tube.
