Bill, it doesn't surprise me you experience some kinks in the ARC5 group software.
I put a friend's address on CC or maybe even BCC of one email I sent to ARC5, and
he somehow instantly got subscribed. The official word on this is, "It's not possible".
I think to get him unsubscribed, I had to "join" him, then "unsubscribe him".
But, "That can't happen."
That reminds me of something a few years back. I watched some Youtube video,
and was moved to join PETA. But the very next day, I started getting inundated
with commercial spam emails. I was very upset and went to the PETA website
to unsubscribe. I learned instead of just clicking a box to unsub, I had to, yes,
"REGISTER" first. When it came to the field for my address, I was pissed, and i
angrily typed in, "YOU DON'T NEED A [ ***deleted word**** ] ADDRESS"
Well, a few days later I received a letter, with a glassine address window, and in
the window it read,
Hubert Miller
YOU DON'T NEED A [ ***deleted word**** ] ADDRESS
Newport OR 97365
I was pretty surprised the USPS knew me well enough to get it to me regardless !
City population is 10,000. Probably in Seattle or Portland it would have been "returned to sender".
I still have that envelope, unopened !
