[ARC5] US Submarine ELINT WWII, (was British ZB......?)

Aboard the USS COD SS-224 a Gato Class Fleet Submarine we are/were equipped with SD radar, then later, the SJ radar was added, and then, still later, we were equipped with ST radar with the head above the optic lenses in the search periscope.

We are also equipped with the AN/APR-1 and the AN/SPA-1 radar countermeasures receivers.

It was a good passive system and the APR-4 variant was used well into the Vietnam war era aboard EB-66 aircraft, probably others.
