[ARC5] [Milsurplus] DAG HFDF Sense Antenna.

I don't know if this adds anything to the discussion, but remember the BC-611 DF antenna attachment solves the ambiguity question by using the soldier himself as the sense antenna. The vertical antenna on the BC-611 remains collapsed, but the soldier puts his thumb on a metallic button on the handle of the DF loop antenna that connects him to the circuitry inside the handle. I suppose two of these separated by considerable difference (depending on resolution required) and with comms between the two, the ambiguity could be resolved. In one direction they would converge to the location while in the other diverge forever. Hope all is well with you. Thanks &73 – Mike

That and other considerations are described at https://aafradio.org/docs/1936_NRL_Aircraft_Radio_Training_Manual_DF_Chapter.pdf (page 107 begins the sense antenna discussion).
