Also, I have unsoldered the "cap" on the top of some of such crystals and have raised their
frequency by VERY carefully grinding an edge in one spot. It doesn't take much. Even one or
two "swipes" with an emery board will do it.
However, it is SO EASY to destroy the crystal, I gave up on that method.
