[ARC5] Hacked ARR-7 question

I think you are right. If the stops that limit the mechanical tuning system
are set at the ends of a ham band, this big central knob could make for a
quick band survey with the BFO on. But maybe it's just a handy replacement
for the snout. There have been several ARR-7s for sale with such a knob in
