Yes, it does, Meir and I thank you very much. I'll pass that info on to the owner.

This makes it clear that the receiver IS some sort of communications receiver, at least. And 
as Brian says, it is AC powered which would pretty much preclude it being used on a 
submarine.

Also, I found a PDF manual (in German) for it.
