Hey, John, surprise ! This was the subject of emails back in 2013. I am ruthlessly cleaning out my old emails
today and am down to 11,800. The email program 'eM Client' is much better for rapid search and destroy
than Outlook, believe me.

Now the covers. All the aircraft radio manuals mention covers altho they don't often show them. I have some
RU and GF covers but as with your ARB note, with the ARR-1, ZB attached to the RU, the RU cover never works.
The manual also doesn't picture these covers, which are not canvas but some kind of rubber. Oddly, it seems the
ZB, ARR-1 cover was only supplied in canvas. 
I also mention that i have a manual for Navy ME-1 aircraft radio from 1929 and the full set also included a cover.

Now speaking more generally of covers, i today put on a Heil headset, the earphone pads, earphone cushions,
and earphone covers. This experience was one of the most tricky puzzles i have ever worked !
