[ARC5] YE-ZB at Midway

Yes, please send.  I have done presentations on the YE-ZB system, few know
about it, a case where we were well prepared for the Pacific Carrier
battles.

At the Battle of Midway all 10 of the F-4F Wildcat fighters launched by the
USS Hornet failed to find the IJN fleet, then failed to find their carrier,
and ditched.

 

I wondered why the YE-ZB system did not work for them, or if they even had
it on board, and I recently read a piece in the book "From The Flight Deck"
that explains what occurred.  If anyone is interested I will scan that
section and e-mail it to you.
