The RAT receivers (no accompanying transmitters) were the first
production Command receivers, back when most military aircraft had 14
volt systems. The RAT-1 were 28 volt versions of them. The RAV units
were a set of eight command receivers from 190 kc to 27 mc. (50 sets
were built) As far as I know they were used primarily  in long range
patrol aircraft like the early PBYs and blimps, mostly out of Newfoundland.

I do have  some RAV receivers. Anyone care to make me an offer?
