[ARC5] BC-348R - fair price?

Here's my BC-348 story. It occurred about 20 years ago when I first started collecting military radios and knew next to nothing. I was at a swapmeet, and I saw a BC-348. The seller allowed me to remove the receiver from the case to look at the innards, and I was doing it very gingerly. Also in the vicinity was a really old man and his wife. If you called central casting and asked for a very cute but very old couple, they would have sent these two. The guy had to have been 85 or 90.
As I'm delicately trying to remove the radio from the case, I hear this booming voice: "Give it a good yank, kid. It ain't a f-cking egg; it ain't gonna break." It was the little old man. It turned out that he had worked on these sets with the Eighth Air Force and was transported back into sergeant mode at the sight of a dumb rookie who didn't know his rear end from second base. I don't know who was more surprised, me or his wife. I doubt he had spoken like that since VE Day.

That sounds like a wee bit low, as I have bought and sold parts for more than that.

But at hamfests, visuals are most important.
