Yes. Although I wouldn't precisely call it a "human-made" virus, but it most certainly was
"human-enhanced".
You might do some research on the web concerning Dr. Fauci's part in this. Among other
things, he is supposed to have re-directed some $3.7 million to a Chinese research center to
continue work on some unusual, bat-based, viruses after being ordered by the U.S. Gummint
to stop as it was too dangerous.
Also, if you can read the book, "The Great Influenza" by Barry, especially Chapter 7, you will
learn quite a bit about viruses. First of all, they are RNA-based, rather than DNA-based like
us.
Secondly, due to this factor and others, they are "chaotic" and thus mutate themselves about
every 15 minutes (I am exaggerating a bit here... but not much).
Thirdly, they aren't really "alive" since they cannot reproduce themselves directly. I would call
them parasites, but that isn't really what they are either.
Due to the fact that they mutate so often, there is really no way to build a really effective
vaccine against them, at least using present methods.
How they "work" is kind of unusual: in the 1918 epidemic, most deaths resulted from the
victim's own immune systems killing them. The young and most fit were the primary
victims...and pregnant women. My wife's great-aunt, 9 months pregnant, died of it.
And as I told Mike Hanz a few days ago (he has read the book too) the 1918 virus was truly
terrifying...yet it was "only" influenza. Nothing more. Yet, people could be perfectly healthy in
the morning, and dead by evening.
Compared with that 1918 virus, this "COVID-19", as bad as it is, and it IS bad, is literally
nothing.
