I awoke this morning to the sound a large truck idling. I thought maybe just the garbage removal truck but when it went on for 20 minutes I took a look.
There were 6 emergency vehicles at this apartment building. 2 ambulances, 2 fire trucks, 2 fire chief SUVs. I glimpsed one guy in a hazmat suit. They were here
about an hour but it didn't look to me like they took anyone. I don't know why they had to have the big trucks idling for an hour. I had my scanner on but
heard nothing, altho I regularly hear the ambulances on emergency runs. Many of the people here are Hispanic and work at the fish plants in this coastal 
city. After months of splendid no developments last weekend there was a large sudden outbreak in this city and most of the fish processing plants are now
closed. Some say it occurred because the fish plants hire a lot of temporary seasonal workers and rent something like 100 hotel rooms to house them.  
I heard something about them even hiring people from Serbia and Ukraine...don't know how reliable that info is. It's not quite the end of the world but things 
are going on. I am one of the ones who hunkering down really doesn't bother too much, my little life goes on. But no swapmeets this summer and so far no 
travelling to see relatives and for three months unable to get plates for the van I bought. The idea of dating someone now seems very strange if you have to
even wonder about being in the same car. Don't want to start a major OT diversion here but I had to share this.
