Could be.
On the other hand, may have been something else.
Masks: first of all, home-made ones are very often worse than useless. They require several
layers of cloth to even begin to be effective. Most makers use one layer. Then, they must be
washed, thoroughly, and disinfected after every use. How many users do you suppose ever
do this? I would venture a good guess: none.
Secondly, they leak: around the eyes, around the chin, especially for bearded men, and most
are too porous to stop even 10% of viruses, both directions.
Then any viruses they might happen to trap, are re-breathed by the user increasing the
percentage of those in their own airway, making them sicker, faster.
Thirdly, masks, of any kind, should NOT be worn when driving: those few that work, very
often cause hypoxia and an increase of the levels of CO2 in the blood. I think that is called
hypercapnia.
There have been several car accidents caused by people wearing masks while driving and
passing out from lack of oxygen. Two checkers at our local supermarket passed out from
their masks.
Bandana's are the absolute most ineffective mask, in fact. Those don't work at all. Give those
stupid users a cowboy hat: that way they will look like a cattle rustler or a bank robber.
The only mask that actually "works" is the N-95 to N-100 variety, and even those must be
installed correctly. Most non-medical people, and even some medical pros, do NOT know
how to properly install or use such a mask. And those are especially prone to causing
hypoxia, especially for those who are doing heavy manual labor.
And the CDC says we are not to use those anyway, but to save them for medical pros. The
CDC also says that masks should really only be worn by those who are sick, but that those
who are well, "...may wear them if they wish...".
The CDC also recently said that the common wearing of masks has given many people a
false sense of security, that many wearers are relying solely on masks and are doing nothing
else....like hand-washing...or staying home when they are sick.
Concerning "social distancing": since a sneeze or a cough blows germs a minimum of 12
feet, how the hell can 6 feet "distancing" do any good? According to a doctor I talked with
about this, it has been proven by experiment that it takes 26 feet of distance to really be
effective.
26 feet.
Yes. It may have been some asshole who was sick who was not wearing an effective mask,
or none at all, who got you sick. It may have been someone, sick, who was wearing an
ineffective, home-made, mask...or it may have been something else. At this point I think it
would be pretty hard to track the true source down. Unless you were an epidemiologist and
had the necessary time.
I recently read of a medical pro who caught the Kung Flu, despite "religiously" wearing a
common (non-N-95) mask, and died of the disease.
In any case, I am keeping you all in my daily prayers, and in my opinion, your choice of
supplements is pretty much genius.
I do suggest you increase your vitamin C, though. I take 8 grams/day.
And Elderberry supplements: gummies, for instance. From your local Hippy Heaven (Co-op)
Elderberry has been an immune system enhancer, maybe even a preventative against
viruses, for several centuries. In our household, we take two Elderberry gummies twice a
day...among our other preventative measures...
God Bless.
