I am the very person who tagged him as "Brave Dave"... your right.. there
was no job he would not take on. Though he sometimes regretted it. He has
been my ham buddy since he was 14 and I was 18. I helped him get his very
first ARC-5 TX operational.. but only cuz I had a part he needed that I had
removed from one of mine that I blasphemously did a 'conversion' on. Dave
has never let me forget this LOL

Keep those prayers going y'all

Subject: [ARC5] Prayers for David Stinson

I had no idea David was in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
Thanks Ronnie for the update.

I believe we all think of David as a ham friend who has furthered our
knowledge of all things electronic and most especially ARC-5 and other
military radios.

Someone who knew Dave at work said he was known and admired as “Brave Dave”
by his coworkers and office family. Why? Because he would take on jobs and
tackle projects that many of his buddies were hesitant to do.

We on this list admire him also as a standard bearer for excellence and
whose enthusiasm for electronics was infectious. And it showed in every
posting to this list!

Sending positive and healing thoughts to Dave, and special prayers to Dave
and his family for a speedy recovery.

May a recovered Dave rejoin his wife and family as soon as possible, as well
as return soon to our ARC-5 list inspiring us with his learnings from a
project restoration.

Prayers,
Tom KE4RHH
