[ARC5] RBx Power Supply Question

The good news is that the military equipment is overbuilt. However, I would be concerned about smoking the transformer.

The largest draw will be the heater supply. The B+ and whatever else can probably be shared, but the two sets of heaters are going to stress the windings.

A simple solution would be to use an auxiliary heater supply for the second set.

Being a little bit familiar with military equipment, (a little), I suggest you run two receivers from the same supply and if something bad happens in 5 or 10 years let us know.

If you are really concerned, measure the temperature of the power transformer in the single-radio supply, and also in the two-radio supply.  You may measure a difference but I expect it wii not be alarming.
