I honestly did not know that was your video. I will reaffirm without apology the real irritation from the tone, but add complements for your pleasant and professional vocal delivery. :-)
A BC-453-A (not B) was the first surplus radio I owned 56 years ago (I still have it.) I doubt there was anything better than the R-23A/ARC-5 for such service.
Oh for the good ol' days when NDBs were everywhere with many carrying airport conditions on voice, and especially when real work was being done from 410 to 510 kHz on the MF maritime Morse band.
