Refer to the maintenance manual for the SCR-274-N, found here:
http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/military/scr274/
FWIW, if you compare the SCR-274-N to the AN/ARC-5, you will find many many important differences, especially in transmitter components. There are only TWO components in the transmitter sytems that are ELECTRICALLY compatible...the dynamotor and the antenna relay. The transmitter rack wiring is VERY different. See the manual here:
https://www.radionerds.com/index.php/AN~ARC-5
USN ARA/ATA components are electrically identical to the later USAAF SCR-274-N components except for audio circuit impedance.
Robert WA5CAB sells excellent hard copies of these manuals.
One no longer often finds comonents for these systems at hamfests and the like. ebay is absolutely the best source...just be a little patient. The BC-456-A, -B, and -E are the most common modulators to be found there.

Subject: [ARC5] FT-226A rack wiring diagram or pin outs?
I've Googled, but I cannot find a wiring diagram for the FT-226A rack..
Can anyone help?
Also, how rare are the screen grid modulators, I haven't seen any showfor sale on eBay? BC-456A?
Pete
