Along with the T-17 you will need either MD-7 ARC-5 plate modulator or the SCR-274N BC-456 screen modulator. With those units dynamotors, relays, and associated components you will be able to power the transmitters and operate them on voice, CW, or MCW (although MCW is no longer a permitted HF mode in the US). If you use the BC-456 screen modulator, you will need to change the value of the 2x 1625 final amplifier tube screen dropping resistor used in the SCR-274 transmitters, the exact value escapes me now, but a review of the various ARC-5 and SCR-274N transmitter schematics will show show you. Other than that, there are a number of additional small differences between the ARC-5 and SCR-274 transmitters, the most significant being the rear connector size and pin outs. Be careful if you mix and match across the two species of command sets! Nice finds!

I have come to the conclusion that I will never do anything with them like I intended, so, I intend to sell them. I am open to offers. I will take photos as soon as the weather warms up. 73 – Mike
