I do that also. I pull them and wrap then with blue masking tap attached to the device. PITA when the lights go out, but better than the alternative. Some, I’d swear have an “Installed In Device” sensor: they’ll sit outside forever, then leak once you install them, haha! 73 DE Jim Falls K6FWT
