Thank you for writing, Robert.
Documentation for the SCR-274N VHF
is very scarce.  One of our members reports
a document from testing results he is going
to find for us and I have a "Radio School
Pamplet" teaching document that mentions
it and shows a system block diagram.
That book calls-out another "Pamplet"
which is entirely about 274N VHF.
I will dig it up- perhaps someone knows
how to get the Signal Corps to look
for an old document.

Don't have any information on BC-942
serial numbers.  All we seem to have are
speculations, inferences and apocryphal
data, as with so many of our systems.
For instance:  I can't now remember who
published that only 1000 274N VHF systems
were built, but my BC-950-A-121 is serial
numbered in the 3000s.  Some people have
proposed that more were made for export
to the many allies who had been using 274N VHF,
but of course there's no way to know for sure.
