Yes- I heard the "we're going to gut them to save
weight!" bull**** more than once. They destroy
sets to save 8 or 10 lbs from an aircraft that was
designed to haul many TONS, and they think
nothing of bringing-along their girl friends and
300 lbs of coolers with hotdogs, charcoal and
cases of beer. I guess that "extra weight" is
somehow magically less important than the
few pounds inside an intact radio. Wonder if
the do that crap to the nav equipment, or the
Nordan Bomb Sight or it's pedestal, or other
of the technology in the aircraft they "love"
so much. I guess "radio part" mass must be
way heavier than "case of beer" mass.
When one of those guys spews that garbage,
frankly, I feel like kicking his butt up so high,
he'll have to unbutton his shirt collar to fart.
I don't do it... But I want to.
