Here is my basement workshop. Instead of a long bench I surrounded the bench with equipment shelves on each side.

Presently my oldest piece of test equipment is a Hallicrafters HC-1 Capacitance meter on the left top side shelf.

The newest piece of equipment is the Koolertrom DDS-60 which is a 60Mhz version of the synthesizer Dave uses for crystal replacement. It is on the blue the anti-static mat.

The shelves at the right have mostly communications equipment. Of note is my Drake TR-7 which was my first serious rig that I bought in 1979.

The Singer Test Set which is in the upper shelf was acquired from a tech I used to work with in the 1970's. He and a friend moved from the Bronx to Los Angeles to make their fortune in public service and marine radio repair. Unfortunately they found that Motorola ruled the market and they could not get a foothold. His friend stayed in LA but he returned to the Bronx with the Singer set, Bird Wattmeter and Bird dummy load which I acquired.

When working at the bench I always have a radio running. Unfortunately there isn't much to hear on HF these days besides Brother Stair.
