Thank you so much for the link but why not a PBS station?
I only skimmed the article but don't see Dana Bacon's name
mentioned. Maybe I just missed it. He was one of the early
influential engineers with National along with James Millen and
Herbert Hoover Jr. The National AGS was really the first of
"modern" receivers but the HRO was far beyond it in innovation
and engineering.
The HRO design persisted from 1935 until the HRO 50-1, the
one with extra IF transformers and the HRO-60 the double
conversion version which was still an HRO under the skin.
