The cfl and LEd supplies are supposed to be FCC compliant, but many obviously are not. I guess it's best to stick with name brands that hopefully are more on the up and up.I get almost no RFI ( unless right on it) from the Philps LED "fake bulbs"  i use.My son in law works for Schieder Electric, a building energy retro fit company. They recently had to change all of the LED supplies they put in because the RFI was interfering with radio communications in the building. The new ones were OK.
Communications were mission critical since it was a prison!

I think it depends on the CFL or LED light: our home is full of them, and I have zero noise
from any of them. I went around our home to each light fixture with a portable all band radio,
and found nothing from any of them unless the antenna was touching the light. Even then,
the noise was minimal.

In fact, I have given up on trying to even FIND incandescent lamps any more.

However, our middle son once built a hot-rod computer using the cheapest parts he could
find. The 600 watt computer power-supply output the worst noise I have ever expernenced. I
bought him a new top-grade power supply and used his as a target for some 7.62 X 54R

Other folks, like you, have reported terrible amounts of noise from LED and CFL "bulbs".

I have no idea what is the difference.
