[ARC5] BC 453 request

I'm afraid it's the other way around. The loop switch covers are easy
to find on junkers. The loop switch knobs, not so much.
There were two different kinds of remote control knobs made for the loop
switch. One hails from the 1930's RU and SCR-183/283 sets, originally
intended to switch dual band coil boxes, and repurposed as the
C-25/ARC-5. It requires a flex cable to connect it to the loop switch,
shown below:
The other is a reconfigured ARC 6743, with a slimmed down knurl on the
end with the spline drive and a smaller knob riveted on the outer end to
turn the switch. The knob is painted black, with an arrow engraved so
that you can see which position it is in:
Both the C-25 and ARC 7491 are extremely rare. You can make a
serviceable replacement from either the RU or SCR-183/283 (MC-135) coil
box switches, which are identical except for panel lettering and a
square drive rather than the standard command set spline drive, which
has to be substituted to convert the knob assembly. But then you have to
attach the two ends with a flex cable.
The ARC 7491 can be fairly easily made by using the outline dimensions
of the 6743 (with reduced knurled section dimensions to match the
picture above) near the bottom of
https://aafradio.org/garajmahal/flex_drive_cables.html - it attaches
directly to the threaded fitting in the loop switch cover. The black
finish on the knurled knob is black lacquer.
