The URM-25F is back up and running. I found that the glue I used to reattach the tuning shaft was not adequate, so I filled the hole in the nylon shaft with gel-type Superglue. After letting the glue set up for a couple of days I drilled out the hole in stages until I got to a size that would enable the brass shaft to fit tightly, added some thinner Superglue and shoved it into place.
The manual does not describe the dial assembly but getting it aligned is easier that I had thought it would be. However, I had to resort to the Theory section to understand how to install the cam that controls the amount of audio modulation relative to the frequency band.
It still needs a little calibration work, being about 1 KHZ off at 1.35 MHZ, for example. But since I'll be checking it with my Tektronix 2236 scope anyway that is not very important.
