I don't understand which you looked at, but most of the inexpensive models go down to about single digits. Accuracy may not be lab quality at those prices but for identifying unknown parts i have found their utility excellent. I chose one low cost tester because of its higher test freqs on low values - 200 kHz or maybe it is even 500 kHz, i don't recall now. I own 2 "better" ones but the China import one is easier to use and very handy. You will experience their limitations on the high end tho. Like the big "computer grade" lytics or audio chokes and some transformers. I think, get one of these and one of those semiconductor identifiers and you're set to head out into the great unknown.
