Folks:

Below is an interesting offer from Gordon which he was not able to get to the forums on his
own. Please answer him directly on these historically important pieces.

If someone is serious about wanting to build a GF/RU set, I have a GF-2 transmitter, an
RU-5A receiver with a dual coil set for 200-380 kc and 4150-7700 kc, the proper receiver
shock mount, all local controls, an RU 5A junction box, GF-2 control box, one PL S-56
six-conductor female plug that fits the junction box and a spare receiver dial.

I also have an RU 2A and RU 6 junction box, GF 2 and RU 3 and RU 15 control boxes, 2
SCR-183 control boxes that appear to be for transmitters and a receiver switch box.

I have the original A.R.C. manuals for the GF-2 and RU-5A units

These are "production samples," stamped with the yellow M in a circle from the Aircraft
Radio Corp "morgue."

Aside from being slightly dusty they appear to be in excellent condition and have all their
tubes.

I have no other plugs, cables or wiring, nor the dynamotor.

If anyone wants, I can list the CBY numbers for all this.

Obviously I rescued these from A.R.C. when everything was sold to
Sperry.

I am not looking to get a fortune for these (all or whatever someone would like to have to
build a station) but I´d like to get a realistic price for them. I will of course never recover what
I spent in doing the history of this equipment and it was at the time a labor of love. I have
been preserving them for now something like thirty or forty years and it is time (I am 85
years old) to move them to other hands, as when I go my heirs will not give a hoot for them.

Anyone seriously interested, let me know.
