In a word- no.  He has parts, used, not, and reproduction for the tv-7, and does not really care to work on others , but you can always ask: djn at ieee.orgSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Set-aside some of the tax-extortion refund to
              have

            one

of my TV-7 Tube Testers professionally
              restored.

Sent it to Mr. Dan Nelson in Chandler, AZ.

            Got it back yesterday.

Very impressed!  This TV-7 was a real
              train-wreck.

Lots of problems and looked like it had been

            through

a hot war.  He said he would do what he could
              with

the case.  I told him "test equipment is like

a good spouse- loyalty is more important than

            pretty."

What I got back looks splendid.  Dan even did
              the

"elbow grease" to remove the years of spray
              paint

            and

crud to get down to the original finish.

It's beautiful.  All the worn-out sockets and

            busted

parts are replaced with new.  The "sticky"
              meter

            has

            been replace.  Overload-burnt parts and
              hack-job

"repairs" have been replaced and corrected.

It works like new.  Dan's craftsmanship is

            top-shelf.

He included an invoice and description of the
              work

done with full details and a page of
              performance

            tests:

            https://tinyurl.com/yy7caeod

Dan's service is not "cheap."  Base charge
              for a

            list

of standard items is $250 plus parts and
              shipping.

But consider this:  A TV-7 in this excellent

            condition

commonly sells on Ebay for $800-$900.  Even
              if you

need a new meter ($140) and major repairs so
              that

the total is $450 or more, that's still an

            excellent

return on your investment.  I'd buy things
              for

$450 I could sell for $900 all day and all
              night.
