This morning I found that the 33K resistor that feeds B+ to tube V-2, the LO and converter tube, actually measures 45K. I replaced it with a new 33K resistor and got the following readings at a dial setting of 2.0 MHZ
B+ input = 104VDC
B+ at Pin 3 of V-2 = 11VDC
LO Output = 2.4 MHZ at pin 3 at 50MV or 2.4 MHZ at Pin 6 at 0.12 V
Obviously, resistors that have increased resistance considerably since 1950 are going to be major concern in this project. This has not occurred with all resistors in the set; next to the 33K resistor is a 27K one that still measures fine. I wonder if the current carried by the resistor is a factor?
