The FT-310-A is the Power Adapter for Homing Adapter R-1/ARR-1. The middle section of Remote Control BC-450-A with MC-415 dial is required for the BC-946-B.

I believe you mean the FT-260-A Local Control Adapter. It provides no audio connection.

The BC-946-B was intended for use with the R-1/ARR-1 VHF Homing *Adapter* (even though the tag says "receiver"). It is the JAN equivalent of the USN ZB-2 or -3 Homing Adapter.

The R-4*/ARR-2 is a complete VHF Homing *Receiver* that includes both the homing adapter and BCB receiver in one unit that fits a command set receiver rack. Although the R-4* works in SCR-274-N racks, I am unaware of any purchase or use of the AN/ARR-2 by the USAAF. The AN/ARR-2 was an integral part of the USN AN/ARC-5 HF/VHF command set installation on carrier-based aircraft.

Some of the highest quality BCB receivers are automobile receivers, which commonly use 262 or 265 kHz IFs. Even some high quality portable BCB receivers use 265 kHz IFs.
