[ARC5] FNG & BC-946B

Hello to the list. I am a new member thanks to Ken W7EKB. Since I have some Command Set gear from an estate sale he indicated that this would be a good place to hang out. So, I'm hanging (not literally of course).

In the mix of ARC gear I have in storage is a BC-946B. It's part of a unmodified rack of three Command receivers: BC-946B, BC-454 & BC-455 all of which have their dynamotors still attached along with the remote tuning panels (but no splined tuning shafts). The three rack mounted receivers appear to be totally stock with local tuning knobs installed. According to the daughter of the SK who had these rigs he used them in his shack on a regular basis.

I also have a BC-453 Nav Receiver that I am going to restore for low band use.

My ultimate goal is to restore/resurrect the BC-454/455 receivers for use with the appropriate Command transmitters to fabricate an 80/40M post WWII CW station.

So, after having said all that, I am seriously considering selling the BC-946B in order to obtain a couple of unmodified/unhacked Command transmitters for the proposed CW station.
