Im mostly of German extraction from the Bavarian area, raised in Brooklyn NY, and only sauerkraut makes my list.😊

My middle son spent 20 years in the USAF mostly stationed at or based out of Ramstein (he was not a pilot and specialized in anti terrorism intelligence plus interdiction training of our allies which included Russia) and we visited several times. After retiring as a major he went to work in Garmisch for a DoD contractor until cost of living went thru the roof. He and his Russian GF moved to Montenegro where he does most of his work online and commutes "north" one day a month. He rents a house almost on the Adriatic and has just received his Masters in Music Production online from Berklee College of Music.

I was there last year plus got up to Garmisch and Munich where we visited with family.Thankly there were plenty of agreeable food choices!
